Light House Foundation Nepal

Our Home Nepal
Founded by Hannah Badi, the first child rescued by the Light House Foundation, Our Home Nepal cares for children in the next stage of their life as they go through years 11 and 12 and consider future life opportunities when their schooling is complete. Some of these children come from LHFN, while others are rescued directly from working in brothels. The Nepal Initiative collaborates with OHN on creating pathways for young adults to find careers or further their education.

Kids of Kathmandu
Kids of Kathmandu is a charity initially set up to rebuild schools destroyed during the 2015 earthquake. Since inception it has built 10 schools across the country and is constantly evaluating new opportunities to expand its building program in the years to come. The Nepal Initiative collaborated and raised funds for KOK’s ninth school and is keen to work alongside KOK in future endeavours, including the possibility of a new school aligned with LHFN.

Ek Ek Paila
Ek Ek Paila, meaning “one step at a time,” was founded in the aftermath of the 2015 earthquake to bring essential medical help to remote areas. This initiative has since grown into a permanent clinic in Kathmandu, providing affordable medical treatment, and outreach missions to remote areas. The Nepal Initiative works with Ek Ek Paila to provide regular health checks and treatment where necessary to the children under the care of Light House Foundation.
